The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries Trilogy was written by Lisa Jane Smith in the early 1990s. The main focus of the series is on the relationship between the heroine, Elena Gilbert and the two vampire brothers, Stefan Salvatore and Damon Salvatore. Elena returns from summer vacation in Europe in The Awakening, just in time for the beginning of her senior year of high school. She arrives at school to see the new guy pull into the parking lot in his Porsche, he is dark, handsome and mysterious. This is the younger brother, Stefan Salvatore. Damon appears later in the most obscure places to tempt Elena away from Stefan and into his arms, but Elena doesn't realize that she is falling for both of them even though she knows that she love Stefan.
